Colleges support and participate in Greek Life in different
ways. Every Fraternity and Sorority is different in the charities they support
and events they partake in. Jake Esselinks fraternity supports St. Jude's Children Hospital. Shannon Woods' sorority supported students who had a terminal illness. Students who partake in Greek life meet many new people and are given the opportunity to learn leadership skills. Greek Life has fee's. Some Colleges have banned
Greek Life due to unsafe practices during parties. Rutgers University has banned parties on campus following the death of a student. A Stigma goes with Greek Life. Many people believe fraternities and sororities are all about parties.
